What Happens When You Piss Off the Queen of All Mommybloggers AKA Dooce
April 9th, 2007.In a word? Nothing.
But I did find this funny:
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/09/technology/09blog.html
Apparently, Dooce did an Interview with the New York Times website where she mentions me and says my parodies really upset her.
I think she’s full of shit the same way I think Sweetney is full of shit.
Want to know why?
Because Dooce never made any attempt whatsoever to ask me to take the parody or the picture down. Hey! I’m not a monster. If I really thought I hurt someone, I could be persuaded to alter my content. Just send me an email and make your case. And before you mention my non public email address, let me just say that Dooce is no dummy. She could have tracked me down if she wanted to and thought it was important to her. Anyone could.
But the fact of the matter is any publicity is good publicity and Dooce knows that more than anyone being that she makes a living off of her website. She’d rather I mock her than ignore her completely because mocking her puts money in her pocket. And if her child gets mocked in the process? Oh well. I mean, they’ve got to put the twizzlers on the table somehow, people!
So, don’t be fooled by all this fake posturing about the mean Internet making the lives of all these women so very, very difficult. They are merely trying to make themselves the heroines of this little Internet story.
Not that I mind being the villain or anything, but still.
Anyway, I found the above mentioned article in a trackback from this site. Thanks for the laugh, guys!
