I’m Thinking About Hiring a Fact Checker
August 10th, 2007.Husband: Turns out, Warren Buffett actually did get a college degree.
V: Seriously?
Husband: Yep.
V: Damn, where were you yesterday when I trying to make a point? Now, here you are with your little “facts” that make what I said technically “wrong.” Way to let me down.
Husband: Don’t worry. What you lack in accuracy, you make up for in conviction.
V: Whatever. I’m just glad I came up with something to write that wasn’t just vague, pointless rambling. By the way, don’t you love how I brag about always making a point with my articles one second, and then the next second I write some boring ass shit about a dog park?
Husband: I thought it was funny.
V: If you thought that crap was funny, remind me to never ask your advice on anything ever again because you obviously have no taste.
Husband: Hey! Other people thought it was funny, too.
V: That’s not the point. The point is that I’m a hypocrite. That’s the really funny part!
