The Christmas Spirit
December 15th, 2007.A friend of mine is giving his wife a kitten for Christmas. She has begging him for a kitten for quite some time, but he has been casually ignoring her. Finally, he has opted to cave to her demands and I, for one, couldn’t be happier.
Why?
Because my friend has entrusted me with the sacred duty of finding the kitten for him and taking care of it until Christmas eve. All day today, I have been scouring classified ads, visiting APL’s, and filling out adoption applications. Being the psycho animal lover that I am, the option to foster a kitten during the cutest week of its life is almost like a present for me, too.
I’m a woman on a mission, folks. For the first time in a long time, I have gotten a little bit of Christmas Spirit.
Also, my friend Myroid drew a little cartoon today that totally cracked me up. It’s kind of a tribute to my How to Fight article, so if you’ve never read it, you might not get the joke. On the other hand, if you have read the article, check out Myroid’s comic here.
That’s all I got today, people. I’ll be spending the rest of the weekend searching for the perfect Christmas baby. Wish me luck!
