Friend: I thought I read somewhere that miscarriages were your body’s way of ridding itself of a child with poor genetic make-up. Like, your body can sense that the child is not healthy and purges it naturally.

V: I think I read something similar, but if I remember correctly it’s just a theory.

Friend: What I don’t understand are all the women who kill their babies even though they are healthy…wait a minute. What are we calling infanticide again?

V: It’s PC to call it ‘SIDS’ now.

Friend: Yeah, SIDS. What I don’t understand is we have a lot woman giving their babies a bad case of “SIDS” even though the child doesn’t have any genetic or physical defects. Yet, there are women with retard babies who voluntarily raise them into adulthood despite the faulty genes. If anyone deserves to come down with a bad case of SIDS, from a biological standpoint, it should be the retard babies, right?

V: Hm.

Friend: I don’t know. The whole thing just seems weird to me.
